Southeastern Rural Community Assistance Project (SERCAP)
This program provides information for the individual household concerning well maintenance and repair they also offer a well loan program.
Loans up to $11,000 with 1% interest and anywhere from 5 to 20 year terms to repay loan there is no waiting list… upfront cost send with application : credit report for $25.

Charleston County Community Development Department.
Charleston County’s Community Development Division uses grant funding to pay for upgrades to eligible well and septic systems in Charleston County. The assistance is provided to qualified low to moderate income residents who reside in Charleston County where well and/or septic systems are the primary source of water. Applications are accepted and placed on a waiting list. You can receive an application by calling (843) 202-6960 or by visiting their website (http://www.charlestoncounty.org/departments/community-development/grants.php).
USDA (United States Department of Agriculture)
This agency provides grants and loans. Loans can be taken out at 1% interest up to $20,000. Payback time can be 5 to 20 years. Grants are also available up to $7500 with no payback if you meet all the federal government requirements. This loan will take several months to process, and grants may take longer.
