We use this Fleck 2510 Automatic conditioner control valve to backwash higher capacity conditioners.  When more than 7 gallons per minute is needed to flush conditioner, this is the valve we use.  It is important to have a well that produces this much flow or more.  Larger tanks may also serve to take care of back-flush also.

It is also important to use a contractor who has experience in rebuilding this type of valve.  Although this valve lasts for years, when they do fail, they are not easily rebuilt without proper training and tools.  Parts are not easy to find either…We stock everything for this valve, including shelves of used parts that have been certified to be sold as reconditioned.

If you see a Fleck 2510 installed, it usually is for good reason.  These valves are higher prices than the smaller residential series, but yet they perform in tough situations much better than their less expensive counterparts.

We may use multiple media types with this valve.  It is multi-functional and may be used with water softeners with brine valve assembly added (different setup than that pictured). Some of these systems need service every year (heavy iron) and some may go for years without any service (sulfur or silt).  This valve is also used on large water softeners (64,000 grain capacity and up).
